The purpose of Institutional guidelines for preventing and managing the risk of appearance of bias and other ethical issues arising from the appointment to the Division de la santé mentale of administrative judges who continue to act as psychiatrists in a designated hospital is to prevent and manage ethical issues and the risk of appearance of bias arising from the appointment of psychiatric administrative judges who continue to act as physicians in a designated hospital within the Division de la santé mentale (DSM).

The Institutional guidelines on changing the modes of participation in any adjudicative activity of the Section des affaires sociales (SAS) (except those concerning the Division de la santé mentale (MHD)) and the Institutional guidelines on changing the modes of participation in any adjudicative activity of the Section des affaires immobilières (SAI), Section du territoire et de l'environnement (STE) or Section des affaires économiques (SAE) are intended to oversee the processing of applications to change, in whole or in part, the manner of participation in a hearing, conciliation or any other adjudicative activity scheduled in the courtroom or by technological means, as the case may be.
