You will receive a letter indicating the date, time and location of your hearing. You must be present. The Tribunal can render a decision in your absence.

If you cannot be present

If you cannot be present at the date and time determined by the Tribunal, you can make a written request, as soon as possible, to ask that the date be changed.

Your request must indicate the reasons why you cannot be present. You must also submit a copy of your request to the government department or body whose decision you are challenging, as well as to any other party.

The Tribunal will decide if your hearing is postponed (see to this effect the Institutional guidelines concerning postponements at the TAQ).
