Confidentiality Policy

The Tribunal administratif du Québec applies the Confidentiality Policy provided at the portal of the government of Québec.

The site of the Tribunal administratif du Québec does not put any permanent security logging table (“cookie”) in the hard drives of visitors’ computers, and no personal information is collected unless the Internet surfer has previously agreed to it. The information transmitted automatically between computers does not allow for personal identification. This information is collected because of the technological requirements of browsing on the Internet and is used for statistical purposes.

Automatically Transmitted Information  
You should know that when you access the site of the Tribunal administratif du Québec information is automatically exchanged between your computer and the Tribunal’s server. The following information, which does not identify you personally, is then communicated:
  • The Internet domain name (for example, “xcompany.com” if you use a private account for Internet access, or “university.edu” if you access the site through a university) and your IP address (an IP address is a number automatically assigned to your computer by your Internet access provider every time you surf the Net) used to access our site;

This exchange of information is necessary to ensure that the file transmitted by the server is compatible with the electronic equipment you use. The government also preserves the information required to keep count of the number of visitors, the pages visited most often, the technology used by Internet surfers, the referral sites, and the surfers’ home country.

If you transmit personal information  
If you choose to transmit personal information by email, the information required to reply to your message and to follow up on it will be the only data used. The personal information transmitted is only communicated to another government organization if your request is addressed to that agency, or if such communication is required by law. The information transmitted is never used to draw up a user profile nor is it sent to private agencies.

Emails  
The emails you send us are handled with the same measures of confidentiality as regular mail.

Links to other sites  
Our portal proposes links to sites of Québec government departments and agencies and private organizations. The sites are identified by an icon. When you leave the site of the Tribunal administratif du Québec, the information exchanged is no longer subject to the confidentiality policy of the Tribunal.
